Scaffold was built in community.

We started Scaffold as a passion project: an attempt by two twenty-somethings to apply their life experiences and make the world a better place. While we're confident in our values, we also recognize the limitations in our perspectives.

As a result, we are committed to building in community–tapping into wells of talent and creativity that are all around us. Sometimes, we'll seek subject-matter experts; people established in their fields. But we're equally excited about soliciting smart, "non-expert" perspectives; software engineers who have an eye for design, emerging social media creatives, and Substack writers. As young professionals, we are used to telling ourselves that "we're still learning" and that we'll get to leverage our interests in "due time." We hope that Scaffold gives our collaborators the opportunity and the confidence to apply their talents now.

We plan to collaborate with a wide range of individuals: professors, students at all levels, software engineers, project managers, scholars, writers, fellow builders, consultants, investment bankers, and more. Especially in the beginning stage of building, we are prioritizing depth over breadth of engagement: we are meeting with our collaborators personally, conducting working sessions or user feedback sessions that generally last over an hour.
