Terms of Use

Scaffold is a digital support designed to help you develop your thoughts. It is best used to help you deepen your critical thinking on subjects where you believe gaps currently exist. It should be used to facilitate, not substitute your thinking. Scaffold should never be used in the context of performing an illegal activity or causing harm to another sentient being.

Scaffold uses artificial intelligence (Claude Haiku 4.5) to devise responses that extend your previous input, while connecting it to your original inquiry. To reiterate: any Scaffold output is the byproduct of generative AI.

Scaffold is not designed to make any declarative statements. Its outputs should not be interpreted as advice of any kind, including medical, legal, and financial. Further, Scaffold does not draw upon any sources external to your interaction. If the user inputs factually incorrect information, Scaffold's responses may mirror that inaccuracy. As such, the user should independently verify the accuracy of any information that it inputs into Scaffold.

Scaffold's system prompt, interface design, and logo are intellectual property that cannot be reproduced without explicit permission from the founders, Brendan and Hillary.

Users should utilize Scaffold at their own discretion. Brendan and Hillary are not responsible for any consequences that may result from use.

The terms above may be subject to change. The last updated date will be indicated at the beginning of this policy.
